Florida was absolutely amazing and gorgeous! We went on a airboat ride for a tour of the florida everglades and saw wild alligators that were about 3 feet from our boat! We went horseback riding which was hilarious, my horse was soo stubborn he ran me into a huge tree branch and Eric's horse kept tripping over his own feet!! HAHA! We went to Ft. Lauderdale beach one day and it was so beautiful I never wanted to leave! Also we went on a water taxi at night around the canal in Ft. Lauderdale and saw million dollar houses, we were pretty jealous haha but it was so nice and romantic. I cannot believe we've been married for one year, time is flying by!!

Today I'm at work interviewing people for a job opening we may be having here soon, the first one called and said she would be 20 minutes late...yeaah that's a greaaat sign haha I told her not to worry about coming in then. I feel bad but we need to look out for the best of our company and if your late to your dang interview there are some issues! LOL!

I am 31 weeks pregnant on friday!! 31 WEEKS!!! This pregnancy is going by sooo fast, I cannot believe I only have 9 weeks left. Gavin is getting SO big and I swear I have the most active baby ever, he kicks and moves ALL the time especially when mommy is laying down trying sleep haha! He makes me so unbelievably happy already, he cracks me up when he goes crazy moving in there. Eric and I have a fun time just watching him and feeling him kick and move, it's so great LOL!

Ooohh!!! I went furniture shopping with my sister yesterday because she just got her new apartment! When I left Eric said "Don't spend too much money baby" LOL Welllll I ended up finding a couch and it is gorgeous!! It's a HUGE HUGE beige sectional with a HUGE matching ottoman and it was amazingly comfortable. It was regularly $2,000 and the ottoman was regularly $199. BUTTTT I got the couch for $599 and ottoman for $89!! I could not pass it up, we wanted/needed a new couch for so long! I'm so excited this is one of my first MAJOR purchases (besides our new truck). So that was pretty exciting lol! We pick it up today and I cannot wait to see how amazing it looks in our living room! I'll put up pictures later! :)

I am super excited right now!! I was not supposed to leave until Saturday to drive down and meet Eric in North Carolina and then go straight from there down to Florida BUT my amazing daddy booked me a room for Friday so I can come down and be with Eric and them one day early!! :) YAY!! This is the longest Eric and I have been away from each other since we met & it's only been 3 days haha! We're kinda inseperable ;-) I'm so excited though, I love my daddy & husband!!

I am 28 weeks pregnant today!!! YAY - Officially in the THIRD TRIMESTER, we are so excited! :) The pregnancy is going great and I'm really starting to show now haha!

Eric and I will be married for ONE YEAR on Sunday!! Holy cow, where has the time gone?! We are celebrating by going to Florida for a week, June 26 to July 3rd! I cannot wait! It's so funny cause July 3rd is when we went on our honeymoon last year and this is our only vacation since then haha! We definitely are going to need it before Gavin comes! :)

Gavin's room is almost done, we are kind of holding back on buying anything until after our vacation. We still need his dresser, a night stand, decorations and a really big pretty mirror that I want to put over his dresser lol! :) & I'm sure there is going to be a lot more things we need that I'm forgetting.

Yesterday we got to see Gavin in 3D, it was so amazing! He was cracking us all up in there while we were watching him. He would put his hands over his face and then put one hand down and the other behind his head like he was just chillin in there haha! He weighs 1 pound 11 ounces! Almost 2 pounds! They said he's growing just fine and is healthy which is amazing to hear. :)

Today we actually saw him kicking in my belly today. It was so cool and weird at the same time it's like a little alien in there trying to get out! haha

Ohh yeah, my glider and ottoman came in yesterday!! It's so comfy I sit in his room a lot now just waiting for him to come! LOL! :) 14 weeks left, we can't wait to meet our little man!!! <3

We dropped Eric's dad Dominic and brother Chris off at the airport last night! We had such a good time this weekend. Saturday we went to the Air Show which was so much fun then we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner which was very entertaining! haha Sunday Ami (Chris' girlfriend) and I got up early and made Eggs, Sausage, Bacon, Scrapple, Hashbrowns & English Muffins - it was so yummy!!! Then we went to Babies R Us and his dad and brother both put in money and bought our travel system for us and the baby! :) One thing off my baby registery! YAY! Then for dinner Ami and I made Homemade Chicken Parmesan for everyone which was delicious!! & Eric finished painting Gavin's room, it looks so good, he is so handy & amazing. I can't wait to get some more furniture in there.

I got all the baby shower invitations all ready to be mailed out on June 1st! They are so cute. I can't wait to send them! My mom is having a blast buying decorations and planning, it's pretty funny!

So this morning when I was on my way to work & a dog was walking down the middle of the road and I almost hit her! I had to pull off the side of the road and take her with me because I didn't want her to get hit. I brought her to work and gave her food and water haha! Her name was Sugar, and she was soo sweet and adorable I wanted to take her home but Eric would kill me haha! I called the number on her collar and left a message. She got to stay at work with me half the day! What boss lets you do that? haha It was funny though, I didn't want to give her back! ;-)

We're going to Virginia Beach this weekend! I'm really excited for that considering the last time I had a 3 day weekend to actually have fun and not be home with morning sickness was a long time ago! LOL!

I will be 24 weeks this friday which is 6 months! It is FLYING by! 16 weeks left! We cannot wait!

I had my "first" Mother's Day on Sunday. It was so nice, I felt so special! Every one was texting me and calling me to wish me Happy Mother's Day. I can't wait till I can celebrate it with Gavin!

I went to the Motherhood Maternity store yesterday and spent wayy too much money but I finally got adorable clothes that actually fit! I bought my first pair of maternity jeans it's so weird, they don't have any buttons or a zipper! haha! But they fit so good and are so comfortable so I'm ecstatic to have clothes that fit properly now!

My brother and father in law are coming to visit on Friday! I can't wait we haven't seen them since the wedding! (Which will be a year next month!) We are going to the Air Show on Andrews Air Force Base which will be a lot of fun! I'll be sure to take lots of pictures. Especially since my belly is growing...FAST! haha :)

Yesterday we went to get our 22 week ultrasound. Which is by the way our 5th ultrasound because we have such a stubborn baby! haha And surprise surprise we have to go get another one because he wouldn't cooperate AGAIN and she could not get a good measurement of his heart. But she did reassure us that it is indeed still a BOY! So that made Eric happy :) He now weighs 1 pound and will double in weight within the next 4 weeks!

The pregnancy is going great now, I still get tired very easily but NOTHING like the first 17 weeks. It is going by so fast though It's kinda scary. We are going to be parents in 3.5 months!!! I think it is just now starting to hit me that our lives together are going to completely change!

I got my juicy couture diaper bag in the mail yesterday and Eric could not believe a "bag" could make me SO excited and happy. But it did and I'm SO in love with it. It says "Couture Baby" on it! & it comes with a matching changing pad!

Gosh, we still have SO much to do for Gavin's room! We need to buy a dresser, a rocking chair, the bedding, paint the room and I'm sure a lot more that I forgot haha! We registered last weekend at Babies R Us which was really exhausting but I'm glad we got it all done!

So today (04-25-2010) Eric felt the baby for the first time! It was adorable cause he hadn't kicked at all this morning so Eric started to shake my belly a little to wake him up and it worked. He started moving around and kicked!!

We had our friends Rusty and Andrea come over for lunch yesterday and they brought their 1 year old Melina over! She is such a doll, she showed me all the things that I'm going to have to child proof in my house! My obsession for candles is going to have to go pretty soon haha!

Our neighbors Travis and Sarah just welcomed their little girl friday! We are so excited to meet her today! I can't wait for the day we bring home Gavin! ;-)

Half way there!

We were on a long 6 month journey trying to have a baby and it seemed like no matter what we did the test at the end of the month was always negative. It took such a toll on both of us that eventually we gave up and I started birth control. After one month of birth control making me really moody (haha) I stopped it. & two weeks later we got pregnant!!!!!
We found out January 10th 2010. How we found out was pretty funny too. I took a test at like 9:30 pm on the 9th and I was so used to a negative test that once I saw only 1 line come up I just set it down on the counter and just assumed it was negative. Well around 12 pm Eric gets up to use the bathroom looks down at the test and says "Umm Ashley there are two lines on this test!" I did NOT believe him, I got up and looked and yep there it was. We were finally pregnant!!!

The first time we saw our baby and heard his heartbeat was 02-25-2010. That right there was the most amazing and rewarding moment ever! I started crying and almost made the ultrasound tech cry! She said "I wish everyone acted the way you are". How could anyone not cry and the sound of their child's hearbeat?! I was already madly in love with my little peanut on the screen :)

So my first trimester and into the second trimester (up to about 15 weeks) was really tough and hard. I was always tired, all I wanted to do was sleep or cry! haha My appetite was really crazy too, I could hardly eat anything. Poor Eric tried surprising me with my favorite dinner and I couldn't even take a bite because it tasted so gross to me.

So the time had come I was 18 weeks and we could finally find out the sex of the baby!!! It was April 9th 2010. The whole time I just knew it was going to be a little girl and Eric was praying for a boy. So this day we were waiting for seemed like forever!! My mom and sister came with us but they had to sit in the waiting room until the last ten minutes because the tech had to do all the measurements to make sure the baby was growing properly. My sister MADE me wait to find out the sex until they all could be in there and find out together. So of course our baby had to be difficult and it took 40 minutes just to try and get the measurement of the head! Finally the tech said I would have to come back in a couple weeks for another ultrasound because the baby wasn't cooperating to get the measurements. So my mom and Tiffany could FINALLY come back into the room with us. The second she went down to that "area" of the baby there was NO question it was a boy!!! Then she went to look at the heart and put the speaker on so we could all hear his heartbeat and me, my sister and my mother started crying so hard. All of us just lost it and again the ultrasound tech about cried too!

So on April 14th 2010 I was sitting at work and I felt a little flutter in my belly and then a kick! & Gavin had just kicked me for the first time. I started crying (seems to be a pattern here haha) it was so amazing! My little man was moving around inside me!!! That weekend we were out at dinner for my dad's birthday all the sudden he kicked me so hard that it actually startled me and I jumped! haha

So in two day's (this friday) I will be 20 weeks! We are half way there! So far this has been a crazy journey and I know it's just the start of it all! It's amazing to think that next Halloween, Thanksgiving, my birthday and Christmas we'll have our first child to share it all with!!! I couldn't ask for more!
